27 Jan 2023 : Price increases at matchday canteen and our licensed bars

The cost-of-living crisis has caught up with us and regrettably, we are forced to announce an increase in prices at the matchday tea bar and our licensed bars.

The cost of supplies and utility bills have both risen significantly with the prevailing economic conditions.

We have managed to absorb most of these increases in the first half of the season but now have no alternative but to review charges at points of sale.

Current profit margins are such that our efforts to operate the canteen and bars as viable concerns have been badly affected.

We hope members and supporters will appreciate that this decision has been made in the best interests of the club - as part of our efforts to provide a good-quality offering, which still represents good value for money.

Our latest signing Malick Diakite, who made his debut as a substitute yesterday's game at Witton, is a 19-year-old attacker.

He has joined from our Pitching In Northern Premier League West rivals Clitheroe, having graduated from their youth team this season to make nine senior appearances, with one goal.

Malick's full debut came against Linnets in November when he was the home side's man of the match in our 1-0 victory.

01 Jan 2023 : New Year move to Runcorn Linnets for Bamber Bridge winger Vaughn Green

Runcorn Linnets have signed teenage winger Vaughn Green from Pitching In Northern Premier League Premier Division club Bamber Bridge.

Vaughn has made eight appearances for the Lancastrians this season, all off the bench. The last of these came in the victory at Marske United at the start of December.

He also made a single appearance for Bury AFC in the North West Counties League.

"We have been in real need of pace and direct play for a number of weeks so when the chance for him to come in from Bamber Bridge arose, it was a no brainer!
